The Brighton based duo Fruity Water have got quite dark in their latest single. They have created a fusion of goth and indie pop which has a slow and sinister build over the 4 minute track. Starting with spooky reversed vocals and delayed synths, ending with a climax of fuzzy guitar.
The track is reminiscent of early Metronomy with it’s minimal analog synth sounds and indie pop values. The 808 drums and arpeggiated percussive synths also echo sounds of New Order and LFO.
This is the first taste of Fruity Water’s upcoming second album due out this summer.
